Due to continuous heavy rainfall, many parts of the country have been affected by flooding. As a result, the well-known Sri Marathandavar Temple in Maran, along with the roads leading to it, has also been flooded.
The Marathandavar Temple, dedicated to Lord Muruga, is one of the most renowned temples in the nation. Although it is located in Pahang, devotees from all across the country, from the north to the south, frequently visit this sacred site.

This temple is no stranger to flooding, having been affected by it several times in the past. Unfortunately, due to the relentless heavy rainfall over the past few days, the Marathandavar Temple has once again been inundated. The temple management has advised all devotees to refrain from visiting the temple for the time being until further updates are provided.
The chairman of the temple, Mr. Raman, shared that the flooding began early yesterday morning at around 3 a.m. The water level quickly rose, reaching up to 4 feet, severely affecting the temple and the surrounding area. Given the ongoing conditions, the management is urging the public to stay away for their safety and to allow time for the water levels to subside before any reopening announcements are made.
