Sivakarthikeyan is back to work on ‘SK 16’ with director Pandiraj after he had gone to England along with his friend and music director Anirudh to catch the match between India and Pakistan.
The first schedule of the film was recently wrapped up in Karaikudi.
The team has now begun shooting in the district of Theni for the second schedule.
The film stars Sivakarthikeyan, Anu Emmanuel and Aishwarya Rajesh in the lead. The film which has music by D Imman also has Natty, RK Suresh in important roles with Yogi Babu and Soori providing the comic relief.
The film, which is being referred to as SK16, is said to be a rural entertainer, like most of Pandiraj’s films.
The film is expected to hit screens for Pongal next year. This is the second time director Pandiraj and Sivakarthikeyan are working together after the latter’s debut film ‘Marina’, which has Oviya playing the female lead.
Sivakarthikeyan, is also currently shooting for PS Mithran’s Hero and is awaiting the release of ‘Mr Local’ directed by M Rajesh. He also has in his kitty a sci-fi film with director Ravi Kumar.
