AL Vijay, in a note to the press on Saturday, has announced his marriage to Dr R Aishwarya.
Calling the press not just his friends, but his family, Vijay said it’s an arranged marriage and will be held as a private ceremony in July.
The director was earlier married to actor Amala Paul but the couple got divorced in 2017.
“Just like everyone, my life travelled through different stages involving success, failure, joy and pain. But what stood by me through all such occasions is the strong support from the press media,” he said.
Vijay is the director of many hit movies in Tamil including Kireedam, Thaandavam, Madraspattinam and Devai Thirumagal, which won him the Tamil Nadu State Award for Best Director.
