Batu Caves Hosts Inauguration of Indian Cultural Centre, Marking a Cultural Milestone

Thousands of devotees and cultural enthusiasts came together yesterday to witness the grand opening of the Indian Cultural Centre at Batu Caves, Sri Subramaniar Swamy Temple, marking a significant moment in the celebration of Indian heritage and traditions. The prestigious event was graced by the leadership of Tan Sri Dr. R. Nadarajah, Chairman of the Sri Maha Mariamman Temple Devasthanam, who officiated the ceremony amidst a vibrant and spirited gathering.

The Indian Cultural Centre was officially inaugurated by MIC National President Tan Sri S.A. Vigneswaran and Deputy President Datuk Seri M. Saravanan. The centre features a rich collection of traditional Indian musical instruments, including the mridangam, violin, and tabla, serving as a tribute to the cultural heritage and artistic legacy of Indians.

Additionally, the centre proudly features sacred statues and exquisite paintings, enhancing its cultural significance and visual appeal.

Furthermore, it showcases a diverse array of traditional artifacts and items historically used by Indians, serving as a living testament to the rich heritage and timeless traditions of the community. This centre is envisioned not only as an exhibition space but also as a vibrant hub of cultural learning and knowledge, fostering a deeper appreciation for Indian history and arts.
