A team of experts will soon assess the site to facilitate the project. Once completed, this monumental structure will stand as the tallest Murugan statue in Asia.
Sekar Babu stated that a team of senior officials, including the HR and CE Department Secretary, the Coimbatore Collector, the Joint Commissioner, and the trustees of the Marudhamalai Temple, conducted an inspection of the proposed site for the statue. He mentioned that consultants have been engaged to assess the feasibility of the statue project.

“Once the consultants submit their report, we will present it to the Chief Minister. Upon receiving his approval, we will proceed with the construction,” Sekar Babu stated.
Reaffirming the state government’s dedication to enhancing temples, he stated that seven Lord Murugan temples are undergoing major renovations at a total cost of ₹862 crore. After inspecting the Marudhamalai temple, the Minister addressed reporters, emphasizing the State government’s commitment to temple development, particularly Murugan temples.
