Rapid Bus Expands On Demand Service with Six New Routes In Klang Valley

Rapid Bus Sdn Bhd is set to enhance Rapid KL On-Demand service by introducing six new routes, further expanding their public transportation accessibility across Klang Valley. This move follows the successful launch of four routes earlier this month and aims to provide even greater connectivity, especially in residential areas that are high density.

Among the newly launched routes, the T772B route (Saujana Utama/Elmina-Jalan Kuala Selangor) is expected to benefit residents in that area by offering a more convenient travel option. Additionally, routes T752B (Putra Heights-LRT Putra Heights) and T821B (Pantai Sentral-LRT Universiti) will provide connections to Rapid KL’s rail services, enhancing public transport.

Passengers who travels along routes T252B (Danau Kota-Jalan Genting Kelang and T640B (Taman Medan-Jalan Klang Lama) will also be experiencing improved travel options, as these routes will utilize bus lanes to ensure a smoother journey. Meanwhile, the new T400B routh will enhance a connection between Bandar Tun Razak and Taman Midah, further to broaden the on demand service network.

Rapid Bus acting chief executive officer Ku Jamil Zakaria emphasized that this expansion is part of the company’s continuous efforts to improve public transport accessibility while encouraging the residents to go for public transportation. He has also said that the recent introduction of new routes in Taman Desa, Taman Genting Setapak, Putrajaya Sentral and Bangsar have already recorded ever 1700 passengers in less then two weeks.

He also said, with the additional new routes, now that they operate 14 on demand service routes, their goal is to keep expanding in stages, aligning with the arrival of new vehicles to strengthen public transport options for urban commuters.

Passengers using the service can reserve their seats through Kummute Apps, Mobi, Trek Rides, depending on the area. The service runs daily from 6AM to 11.30PM at a promotional fare of just RM1 per ride. Payment can be made via many options, including Touch n Go card, MyRapid Concession Card, OKU Smile Travel Pass and unlimited travel passes such as My50, MyCity and Family Pass. This new routes will be able to be used starting 17th February.
