After years of anticipation, the Tamil language spy thriller film “Dhruva Natchathiram”, directed by Gautham Vasudevan Menon and starring Chiyaan Vikram is reportedly scheduled for a release on 1st May 2025. This date aligns with Labour Day celebration, a popular time for major film releases in India.
The film’s journey to the big screen has been filled with delays since its initial announcement in 2017, primarily due to financial issues and legal challenges. Originally, the film’s lead was supposed to be Suriya, but creative differences led to his departure, which later on Chiyaan Vikram stepped in.
Dhruva Natchathiram boasts a huge cast including Ritu Varma, Simra, Parthiban, Radhika Sarathkumar, Vinayakan, Divya Dharshini and Vamsi Krishna. The technical crew features composer Harris Jayaraj and editor Anthony, promising a high quality cinematic experience.

The anticipated 1st May release date sets up a potential box office clash with another major Tamil film, “Retro” starring Suriya and directed by Karthik Subbaraj. This release could lead to an exciting competition at the box office, offering audiences a diverse choice of entertainment.

As of now, official confirmation of release date is pending. Fans eagerly await announcements from the filmmakers, hoping that Dhruva Natchathiram will finally grace on big screen after its prolonged delay.
