Yaazhiniy Pugazhenthi, a student from SJKT Tan Sri Dato’ Manickavasagam in Tanjong Malim, made the nation proud by winning both the Gold Award and the Best Sustainability Award at the World Youth STEM Invention Innovation 2025 (WYSII 2025). The prestigious international science innovation competition was held in Medan, Indonesia, from February 23 to 27.

With her innovative invention, Sagepure Glow Face Wash, Yaazhiniy Pugazhenthi outshone 800 participants from eight countries worldwide, earning these prestigious awards. Her groundbreaking creation was recognized for its uniqueness and effectiveness, setting her apart in the highly competitive international arena. This remarkable achievement highlights her dedication, creativity, and commitment to innovation in the field of science and sustainability.
SJKT Tan Sri Dato’ Manickavasagam, Perak, has made history as the only Tamil school to participate in the prestigious international World Youth STEM Invention Innovation 2025 (WYSII 2025) competition. Among the many talented participants, Yaazhiniy Pugazhendhi stood out as the only student from the school, securing both the Gold Award and the Best Sustainability Award, bringing immense pride to her school and the nation. Notably, the competition itself has been recognized in the Malaysia Book of Records for having the highest number of participants in an international STEM competition in 2025.
