Renowned music director G.V. Prakash has officially commenced work on the soundtrack for director Vetrimaaran’s highly anticipated action drama Vaadivaasal. Starring Suriya in the lead role, the film has already generated immense excitement among fans, and Prakash’s latest update about composing its songs has further heightened expectations.

He shared on his X account that he has begun composing music for Vaadi Vaasal. GV Prakash also shared a photo of himself with Vetrimaaran from the composing studio.

Sharing the music director’s words, the film’s producer, Kalaipuli S. Thanu, posted a tweet that read, “Agilame Aarathikka Inithe Aarambam. #VaadiVaasal (A sweet start as the world cheers) @Suriya_offl #VetriMaaran @gvprakash.”

In January this year, producer Kalaipuli S. Thanu announced that filming for director Vetrimaaran’s Vaadi Vaasal would begin soon. His announcement coincided with Maatu Pongal, a festival dedicated to celebrating bulls.

Kalaipuli S. Thanu shared a picture of himself with director Vetrimaaran and Suriya, captioning it in Tamil, “Agilam Aarathika Vaadi Vaasal Thirakirathu” (With the world cheering, the Vaadi Vaasal opens). Vaadivaasal refers to the narrow gateway through which bulls enter the arena in the traditional sport of Jallikattu. Interestingly, Jallikattu is held on Maatu Pongal as part of the Pongal festival celebrations.

The film has generated immense excitement among fans for two key reasons. The first is the highly anticipated collaboration between Vetrimaaran and Suriya. Another reason for the film’s high anticipation is that it is based on the novel Vaadivaasal by renowned Tamil writer Ci. Su. Chellappa. The novel revolves around the traditional bull-taming sport of Jallikattu.

Speculation within the industry suggests that the film will be made as a three-part series. However, there has been no official confirmation from the film’s team regarding this.

With an acclaimed director, a celebrated lead actor, and a compelling story rooted in Tamil culture, Vaadivaasal has already captured the attention of fans and cinema enthusiasts alike. As GV Prakash begins composing the film’s music and production gears up, anticipation continues to build. Fans eagerly await further updates as Vaadivaasal takes shape, promising to be a cinematic spectacle that brings the spirit of Jallikattu to life.
