In a recent update, the filmmakers revealed that Pooja Hegde has dubbed for herself in Tamil for the first time. Her dedication to the project was widely appreciated. Initially, there were concerns about her pronunciation and whether she could deliver convincingly. However, Pooja embraced the challenge with confidence, assuring the team that she would rise to the occasion—and she did.

Retro is produced by Suriya and Jyotika’s 2D Entertainment in collaboration with Karthik Subbaraj’s Stone Bench Films. The film features an ensemble cast, including Jayaram, Nasser, Prakash Raj, Sujith Shankar, Karunakaran, Tamizh, Prem Kumar, Ramachandran Durairaj, Sandeep Raj, Murugavel, and Remya Suresh, among others.
With music composed by Santhosh Narayanan, Retro boasts a talented technical team, including cinematographer Shreyaas Krishna, editor Shafique Mohamed, art director Jackson, action choreographer Kecha Khamphakdee, and costume designer Praveen Raja. The film is set to hit theaters on May 1.
