Nearly 28 years later, the much-anticipated sequel, Indian 2, finally hit the screens, carrying immense expectations. However, despite the hype, the film received a lukewarm response, with audiences expressing mixed reactions. Addressing financial issues, settling Shankar’s pending dues, and filming the remaining portions are expected to cause significant delays. According to a report from Asianet Tamil, financial complications may lead to the indefinite postponement of Indian 3. However, the production team has yet to issue an official statement regarding the matter.

Notably, during the promotions of Indian 2, Kamal Haasan shared that he personally found the third installment more engaging than its predecessor.
