The long awaited trailer of Good Bad ugly, starring Ajith Kumar, has finally dropped yesterday, and it’s as explosive as fans hope. But the real surprise for the Malaysia audience was the presence of Samba Rock icon Darkkey Nagaraja.
Directed by Adhik Ravinchandran, the action-comedy film is set for a release on 10th April 2025, and promises a high octane blend of mass appeal and style. While the trailer shows bits of the plot, a retired gangster in a chaos, it also packs a punch with stylish visuals, intense action sequence and energetic soundtrack.
The trailer opens with Ilaiyaraaja’s “Oththa Ruvva Thare” before transitioning into the electrifying ‘Puli’, track featuring none other than Darkkey. The Malaysian legend is not just featured but it is said that he has also contributed a song to the film’ soundtrack, marking another major milestone in his career and a proud moment for Malaysians. Seeing a homegrown artist blending into a huge Tamil film.
Fans also get a glimpse of other exciting looks, including Arjun Das, who plays the antagonist and a brief but impactful cameo by Simran that leaves viewers in wow.
Produced by Mythri Movie makers, this is their first Tamil venture, Good Bad Ugly also stars Prabhu, Prasanna, Yogi Babu, Sunil, Shine Tom Chacko and Rahul Dev, with GV Prakash as the music director.
With Good Bad Ugly is set to be a treat for fans, filled with iconic dialogues, and mass moments. And for Malaysians it is an extra treat, as this trailer will be remembered as the one where Darkkey Nagaraja and his iconic track lit the screen up, proudly putting Malaysian Indian talent on map again.
