Every year, the Met Gala transforms the steps of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City, United States into the most fashionable runaway in the world. Met Gala takes place annually on the first Monday of May. This year it was held on the 6th of May. The event once again gathered many artists all over the world from the fashion, film, and music industries for an extravagant night that blends high fashion with artistic storytelling. Manish Malhotra, the legendary designer who has styled multiple celebrities, made his debut by walking on the blue carpet this year. Manish Malhotra created a historic moment by attending the event with a midnight velvet sculptural sherwani with clear lines, layered under Inverness inspired cape. The tailored blazer he wore gave structure and modern contrast. Along with that, he also designed Natasha Poonawalla’s Met Gala attire.

This year by not just being behind the scenes, Sabyasachi himself walked the Met Gala carpet in a deeply symbolic look inspired by Jamsetji Tata, who founded Taj Hotels after facing racial exclusion. With a hand quitted, paired with satin layers and black quilted trousers. A statement kamarbandh, embroidered shoes, and traditional Indian cap, enhanced with layered emerald jewelry from his own brand.
Isha Ambani: A tribute to Legacy and Artisanship

Isha Ambani has returned to the Met Gala in a couture created by Anamika Khanna that took over 15,000 hours to complete. The look was a tribute to India’s textile heritage, with every stitch reflecting the generational artistry of Indian craftsmen. Styled by Anaita Shroff Adajania, Isha wore jewellery from her mom and own personal collection, including a vintage inspired necklace with 89 stones, featuring an 80.73 carat cushion cut diamond once linked to the Maharaja of Nawanagar. With diamond buttons down her coat, a diamond hip headpiece and pearl encrusted bird accessories in her hair, Isha’s outfit defined luxury through heritage.
