Dr. Nisha is a committed and ambitious plastic surgery resident at St. Vincent’s University Hospital, one of Europe’s most prestigious medical institutions. Her journey in medicine began at Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS), where she earned her medical degree. Eager to expand her clinical knowledge and surgical expertise, she went on to obtain the Membership of the Royal College of Surgeons (MRCS) from the esteemed Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.
With a deep-rooted passion for plastic and reconstructive surgery, Dr. Nisha is driven by the dual goals of providing outstanding patient care and continuously honing her skills in this demanding specialty. Her dedication, precision, and compassionate approach have quickly earned her the respect of her peers and mentors alike.
Committed to Community Care
Beyond her work in the operating theatre, Dr. Nisha has always been deeply committed to serving the community. She firmly believes that being a doctor extends beyond clinical care — it also means uplifting those in need. Over the years, she has actively participated in numerous charitable initiatives across Malaysia, particularly focused on supporting underserved and vulnerable populations.

Her compassion was especially evident during the COVID-19 pandemic, a time when many families faced unprecedented economic hardship. Recognizing the urgent need for support, Dr. Nisha took the initiative to organize relief efforts for low-income households whose livelihoods were severely impacted. Through these efforts, she helped deliver essential supplies — including rice, cooking oil, and milk — to communities struggling to make ends meet.
Advocating Beyond Medicine
In addition to her medical and humanitarian pursuits, Dr. Nisha also made her mark on the national stage by representing Malaysia as Miss Earth Malaysia 2021. This prestigious title is awarded not only for grace and poise, but also for a strong commitment to environmental stewardship and advocacy.
Leveraging the platform, Dr. Nisha championed various environmental and social causes, using her voice to raise awareness about sustainability, climate change, and community well-being. Her participation in the Miss Earth pageant highlighted her multifaceted character, a blend of intellect, compassion, leadership and demonstrated her ability to inspire change both inside and outside the medical field.
From Tamil School Foundations to Remarkable Achievements
Notably, Dr. Nisha began her educational journey at a Tamil primary school — SJKT Convent in Seremban. Reflecting on her early years, she shared,
“My journey started at SJKT Convent in Seremban. Attending a Tamil school played a significant role in shaping my identity. Despite the challenges, I never gave up on Tamil. In fact, I scored an A+ in both Tamil and Tamil Literature in my SPM, achieving a total of 12 As.”
At a time when many parents express concerns about the future prospects of children who attend Tamil schools, Dr. Nisha stands as a powerful example that students from vernacular schools are equally capable of achieving excellence. Her story serves as an inspiration, proving that success knows no language barrier.

When asked how her Tamil school background contributed to her growth, Dr. Nisha responded:
“My Tamil school education instilled valuable life lessons, discipline, and a deep appreciation for culture. Studying the Tamil language and its literature broadened my perspective, and I’m proud to remain fluent in it. I believe that learning one’s mother tongue is vital, and I encourage parents to prioritize Tamil education for their children. The values I gained continue to guide me to this day.”
Her words underscore the lasting importance of mother tongue education and its role in nurturing identity, values, and cultural pride.
A Sustainable Step Toward Menstrual Health Equity
In addition to her many accomplishments, Dr. Nisha has achieved a remarkable milestone in the field of women’s health and sustainability. She is the creator of EcoPAD by Dr. Nisha, a line of biodegradable sanitary napkins developed to support underprivileged girls and women around the world.
Driven by a deep sense of social responsibility, Dr. Nisha launched the EcoPAD project at the age of 20, after witnessing the challenges faced by women in underserved communities who lacked access to basic menstrual hygiene products. Through this initiative, she has distributed eco-friendly sanitary pads to girls in countries such as Africa, the Philippines, and Indonesia — empowering them with both essential supplies and crucial menstrual health education.
“My EcoPAD project began when I was 20, witnessing the struggles of underprivileged women worldwide. I created biodegradable sanitary napkins to address their needs and promote health awareness. Through EcoPAD by Dr. Nisha, I’ve distributed these products globally and educated women on menstrual health. This initiative stems from my commitment to improving lives and empowering communities,” she explained.
The EcoPAD project is a testament to Dr. Nisha’s dedication to creating meaningful change — combining innovation, compassion, and advocacy to improve lives and restore dignity for women across the globe.
“My aspirations are to become a world-renowned plastic surgeon and to establish a global organization dedicated to supporting children with cleft palates. I am deeply committed to making a meaningful impact in my field and improving the well-being of individuals around the world.”
