“It’s an Honour to Share the Screen with Soori Sir,” says Aishwarya Lekshmi

Aishwarya Lekshmi, a celebrated name in Malayalam cinema, carved a niche for herself in Tamil films with her debut in Vishal’s Action. Since then, her presence in Kollywood has grown steadily, with memorable performances in critically acclaimed projects such as Jagame Thandhiram, Ponniyin Selvan, and Gatta Kusthi. She is now starring alongside Soori in the much-anticipated film Maaman, which is releasing in theatres today, May 16.

Directed by director Prashanth Pandiyaraj, Maaman is a heartwarming family drama that explores the emotional nuances of close-knit relationships. The film promises to capture touching moments and everyday experiences that resonate with a wide audience, positioning it as a potential box office favorite. Aishwarya Lekshmi’s participation has already generated buzz, particularly due to her reputation for choosing roles rich in emotion and layered storytelling.

At the press meet for Maaman, Aishwarya Lekshmi spoke warmly about her co-star Soori, praising his humility and authenticity both on and off screen. Reflecting on her experience, she said, “It’s truly an honour to work with Soori sir. He is deeply sincere and genuinely kind. Everything he does comes from a place of goodness, and you can sense the respect and warmth in every word he says.” Her touching remarks highlight the widespread admiration for Soori’s down-to-earth personality and his impressive transition from a comedic actor to a leading man.
