Malaysia’s top women’s doubles pair, Pearly Tan and M.Thinaah, stormed into the semi-finals of the Thailand Open with straight-sets victory over China’s Chen Qing Chen and Wang Ting Ge.
The top seeded duo displayed dominance on court, clinching the match 21-14, 21-11, in just 33 minutes. Their aggressive pace, sharp smashes, and unrelenting coordination overwhelmed the Chinese pair, sealing a spot in the semi-finals for the third time in their Thailand Open game.

The win not only shows Pearly and Thinaah’s current form but also brings them one step closure to get the title of this tournament. The pair, who have risen in world rankings over the past year, will next face the winners of the game between India’s Treesa Jolly- Gayatri Gopichand Pullela and Japan’s Rui Hirokami-Sayaka Hobara.
Malaysian’s back home are hopeful that the duo can ride their momentum into the final and secure a landmark victory for Malaysian women’s badminton. Meanwhile, in the men’s double category, top national pair Aaron Chia and Soh Wooi Yik are preparing for an all Malaysian showdown in their quarter final match.

With both the men’s and women’s pair performing strongly, Malaysian hopes remain high for a successful outing at the Thailand Open.
