Actor Soori, whose emotional family drama Maaman has struck a chord with audiences, took to social media to express his heartfelt gratitude as the film entered its second successful week in theatres. The actor, known for his versatility and grounded performances, called the audiences love and support the ‘true success’ of the film.
In a deeply personal post shared on X (formerly Twitter), Soori reflected on the emotional inspiration behind Maaman.
“True success begins with a sincere appreciation of relationships and feelings,” he wrote in Tamil. “Maaman is an emotional journey inspired by real events in my life, a story that I believed would resonate with many families”.
Directed by Prasanth Padiyaraj, Maaman hit screens on 16th May and has gotten positive reviews, especially among family audiences. The film stars Soori alongside Aishwarya Lekshmi, Rajkiran, Swastika, Vimal, Baba Baskar and more.
Soori thanked his director for carefully translating the emotional core of the story onto the big screen, praising the dedication of the entire cast. “Every actor breathed life into their characters,” he noted.
The actor also acknowledged the behind the scenes crew, saying,
