SJKT Dato’ K. Pathmanaban Launches Chinese Tuition Classes to Foster Multilingual Excellence

Students from Tamil schools have been consistently excelling across various fields, demonstrating outstanding achievements not only in academics but also in extracurricular arenas such as sports, innovation, music, and more. They actively participate and shine in competitions at the school, state, and even international levels, showcasing their diverse talents.

Despite these accomplishments, there remains a growing concern among parents about potential language barriers associated with Tamil-medium education. A common stereotype persists that students from Tamil schools may struggle with proficiency in Malay and English. However, this perception is increasingly being challenged, as many Tamil school students are now excelling in both Malay and English language competitions, proving their ability to master multiple languages and thrive in a multilingual environment.

Additionally, SJKT Dato K. Pathmanaban has taken a commendable step forward by introducing Chinese language tuition classes for its students. This initiative reflects the school’s progressive vision and commitment to providing its students with a well-rounded, multilingual education. By offering Chinese as an additional language, the school is equipping its students with a valuable skill set that can open up greater academic, professional, and cultural opportunities in the future. In an increasingly globalized world, the ability to communicate in multiple languages is a significant advantage. The classes are open to all students of SJKT Dato’ K. Pathmanaban and are offered at an affordable fee of just RM20 per month. This makes the program accessible to many families while still providing quality language education. The school announced this initiative on its official Facebook page, generating positive responses from the community. The Chinese language classes are held every Friday from 1pm to 2pm at the school premises.
