Director Venkat Prabhu and actor Sivakarthikeyan are teaming up for the first time in a full-length feature, setting the stage for a much-anticipated collaboration in Tamil cinema. While Sivakarthikeyan recently made a brief but buzzworthy cameo in Prabhu’s latest film The Greatest of All Time (GOAT), starring Vijay, this new project will see him take center stage as the lead. The duo officially confirmed the news to Cinema Express, generating excitement and curiosity among fans and industry insiders alike.
According to sources, the upcoming project is scheduled to begin filming in November and is expected to center around a time-travel narrative—an exciting and relatively untapped genre in Tamil cinema. The storyline is said to include two strong female leads, with actresses Kalyani Priyadarshan and Gayathrie Shankar currently in discussions to be part of the cast. With Venkat Prabhu’s knack for crafting inventive, high-concept stories and Sivakarthikeyan’s wide-reaching popularity, the film is already creating considerable anticipation.

Although the title and full crew details remain undisclosed, official updates are anticipated in the near future as the project moves into the pre-production phase.
Sivakarthikeyan’s calendar is brimming with projects. In addition to this upcoming sci-fi thriller, he is also starring in Madharasi, helmed by AR Murugadoss, and Parasakthi, directed by Sudha Kongara. With a string of ambitious films lined up, the actor appears to be stepping into an exciting and transformative chapter of his career.
