On 20th July 2025, cake lovers from all walks of life will gather at the lush, scenic Puncak Dani, Genting Highlands for an event that is as sweet in spirit as it is in taste, Cake Ula, a one-of-a-kind cake potluck picnic by Fancy Custom Cakes. From 3.00PM to 7.00PM, participants will trade frosting for friendship, and fun in an atmosphere that celebrates cakes not just as desserts, but as stories, statements, and a way to bring people together.

What Is Cake Ula?

At its heart, Cake Ula is more than just a picnic. Its visual, sensory and social experience, a cake-centric gathering that invites participants to bring a full-sized cake (minimum 8 inches), display it beautifully, share it generously, and connect meaningfully. Whether you’re a home baker, professional patissier, or just simply a dessert enthusiast, the event is open to everyone, with one golden rule: No Cake, No Entry.

Each ticket, priced RM58, is not just an admission pass, it’s a celebration of creative expression. From homemade to store-brought, whimsical to minimalist, every cake must be presentable, ready for its moment in front of the camera, and prepared to be shared in slices of joy.

Why Cake Ula? A Purpose-Driven Picnic

The philosophy behind Cake Ula is simple yet powerful. In a time where digital life often replaces real connection, Cake Ula invites people to come offline and gather in nature to laugh, talk, create, taste, and celebrate the humble cake as a symbol of community.

  • Zero Competition, 100% Community

Forget bake-offs and judging panels, Cake Ula thrives on inclusivity. There are no winners or losers here. Just a vibrant mix of bakers, and dessert lovers coming together to appreciate and learn from one another.
