Sequels to Two Fan Favourites

Gatta Kushti, directed by Chella Ayyavu and released in 2022, was well-received by audiences and critics alike for its fresh storyline, humor, and performances. The sports-comedy drama also starred Aishwarya Lekshmi in a leading role. The announcement of a sequel has stirred excitement among fans who appreciated the film’s unique mix of wrestling and family dynamics.
Meanwhile, Ratsasan remains one of Vishnu Vishal’s most critically acclaimed and commercially successful films to date. Released in 2018 and directed by Ram Kumar, the psychological thriller was lauded for its gripping screenplay, intense performances, and chilling antagonist. The film marked a turning point in Vishnu’s career and developed a cult following over time.
Interestingly, Vishnu recently wrapped filming for his third collaboration with Ram Kumar titled Irandu Vaanam, after working together on Mundasupatti and Ratsasan. The film stars Mamitha Baiju in the lead and is currently in post-production.

While Gatta Kusthi 2 and Ratsasan 2 were the headlines, the event also highlighted the launch of Vishnu’s brother Rudra, who makes his acting debut in ‘Oho Enthan Baby’. The film, directed by Krishnakumar Ramakumar, features Vishnu Vishal in a full-length role as himself, with Rudra playing an assistant director narrating a script.
