Santan, the food and beverage (F&B) brand by Capital A, has introduced a brand-new menu featuring nostalgic Malaysian flavours that many grew up loving. Launched in conjunction with Merdeka month, the refreshed offerings are a tribute to the classic tastes that hold a special place in the hearts of Malaysians.

Santan’s latest creations include the Kaya Butter Coconut Toast, a first-of-its-kind inflight offering; the iconic Pak Nasser’s Nasi Lemak Light (Nasi lemak Bungkus); and the ZERO Teh Tarik Kaw Kaw — a game-changer in healthier indulgence, delivering the full-bodied kaw taste with 70% less sugar. In addition, Santan is proud to introduce a new drink featuring Asam Boi – a beloved preserved plum ingredient popular across Malaysia and the Asean region.

New Menu Highlights:

● Kaya Butter Coconut Toast
Coconut milk-infused bread, pandan kaya, and premium salted butter
Combo price: RM12 on AirAsia (AK) / RM17 on AirAsia X (D7)

● Pak Nasser’s Nasi Lemak Light (Nasi Lemak Bungkus)

To enhance the in-flight experience, passengers who opt for a Santan Combo meal can add on the ‘Snek Box Kita’ for only RM3. This charming snack box features a trio of classic Malaysian favourites: Toasted Coconut Biscuit, Muruku, and Pineapple Tart. It’s a nostalgic treat that brings the familiar flavours of our childhood to the skies.

Catherine Goh, Chief Executive Officer of Santan said, “In conjunction with the upcoming Bulan Kemerdekaan, this new range pays tribute to the nostalgic flavours that represent who we are as a country — rich in culture, heritage, and diversity. From the world’s first Kaya Butter Coconut Toast in the skies to our Teh Tarik Kaw Kaw, we’re proud to celebrate Malaysia through food that is flavourful, healthier, and unmistakably ours.”

“We see strong potential in the snack segment, and with this launch, we’re targeting up to 10% contribution to our overall sales this year. As a brand that has grown from inflight meals to ground retail, this marks another exciting step in making Malaysian favourites part of everyday moments — both in the air and on the ground,” she added.

Santan’s Club ZERO range was created in response to the increasing demand for lower-sugar alternatives that still deliver great taste. Made with safe, approved zero-calorie sweeteners and completely free from aspartame, the range reflects Santan’s commitment to offering healthier, yet delicious, options for consumers.

Introduced last year and officially launched by the Minister of Health, the Club ZERO range includes fan-favourite drinks like the ZERO Pistachio Coconut Latte. The line-up has recently grown to feature Santan’s viral dessert — ‘The OG Burnt Cheesecake’ — now available in a lower-sugar version with 50% less sugar than the original.

Affordability remains a key part of Santan’s offering, with combo meals starting from just RM7.90, inclusive of a drink. Passengers can also choose to upgrade their beverage by adding RM2 for popular options like the ZERO Pistachio Coconut Latte — a social media sensation since its debut — or the iconic Santan Latte, which has surpassed one million cups sold since its launch.

These new items are part of Santan’s regular quarterly menu refresh, which takes place every three months to keep offerings fresh, exciting and in tune with guest preferences. The latest range is now available on all AirAsia and AirAsia X flights, with continuation guided by guest feedback and demand.
