If you’re a regular commuter on the Kelana Jaya LRT Line, your morning travel plans may need some adjusting over the next few months.
Public transport operator Prasarana has officially announced a revised schedule for its long-planned signalling system upgrade, affecting selected stations on the Kelana Jaya Line. The work, initially scheduled to begin on 9th August, has now been postponed to 6th September with the final phase expected to conclude by the end of November.
What’s Causing the Delay?
The delay comes as part of Prasarana’s efforts to conduct additional testing on Phase 1 of the system to ensure optimal functionality before proceeding to Phase 2 and 3, which are the stages that will directly impact passenger operations.

“As previously announced, for Phases 2 and 3, testing sessions will be extended into the morning on selected dates, causing some stations to open to passengers only from 9am, later than the usual 6am start” , said Prasarana in a statement.
