Kuala Lumpur police chief Fadil Marsus said a total of 2,708 officers would be deployed to maintain order and security during the National Day parade, which is expected to draw over 100,000 spectators.

He urged members of the public heading to the celebration to plan their journey in advance and to take advantage of the shuttle bus service that will be made available for attendees.

The planned road closures and deployment of police personnel highlight the extensive preparations underway to ensure the success of this year’s National Day parade in Putrajaya. With large crowds anticipated, the public is encouraged to cooperate fully with the traffic arrangements, plan their journeys carefully, and make use of the shuttle bus service provided. These measures are aimed at ensuring a smooth, safe, and memorable celebration of Malaysia’s National Day.
