This Merdeka season, foodpanda Malaysia is going all out to bring Malaysians together with its vibrant new campaign, Lebih Meriah Bersama, running from 25th August to 28th September 2025. From free meals and nationwide discounts to a grand prize giveaway of a Proton X50, the campaign is a lively tribute to the nation’s flavours, diversity, and shared spirit of unity.

A Parade of Unity: Riders and Staff in Action

In honour of Malaysia’s 68th year of independence, 6800 free meals and drinks from popular local brands will be distributed by foodpanda riders and staff across Penang, Johor, Klang Valley, and Putrajaya. Among the highlights are: 

  • 25th August: Nasi Kandar Ciksue, Penang
  • 25th-26th August: Restoran Nasi Kandar Farook and D’Lkasa, Johor
  • 27th August: Koppiku (Ampang) and Kejap Food (Bangsar South)
  • 28th August: Bungkus Kaw Kaw, Putrajaya
  • 30th August: Koppiku, Bukit Bintang
  • 30th-31st August: National Day Parade booth, Putrajaya (featuring Marrybrown, Borenos Chicken, and Nasi Lemak Saleha)

To add to the patriotic fervour, 32 riders and Pau-Pau the mascot will proudly join the National Merdeka Day Parade in Putrajaya on 31st August, marching alongside EV bikes, waving brand flags, and donning special-edition uniforms in front of an estimated crowd of 100,000.

Big Savings and Bigger Rewards

Before Merdeka Day, Pro Weeks returns from 18th to 24th August with discounts of up to 40% on selected items, while pandapro subscribers enjoy 68% off an 6 and 12 month plans until 31st August.

Customer also stand a chance to win big with the Order and Win Stamp Card Challenge, running from 25th August to 28th September 2025. By placing just six orders of RM25 or more during the period, users can collect stamps to enter the draw for prizes, including the grand prize of a Proton X50 worth RM97,750 and 68 RM100 foodpanda e-gift cards.

Foodpanda will also be part of the Tapak Pameran Sempena Sambutan Hari Kebangsaan event in Putrajaya on 30th-31st August, where visitors can enjoy:

  • Free meals with pandapro sign-ups
  • Nostalgic Malaysian childhood games such as Pemadam Battle and Main Lidi
  • Fun photo opportunities with Pau-Pau and Panda Sado
  • ‘Spot & Tag’ Instagram redemptions for exclusive merchandise
  • Special midnight camper kits for early parade-goers

From food giveaways and carnival-style games for exclusive reward, the campaign reflects foodpanda’s commitment to community, culture, and togetherness.
