A total of 11,443 Indian entrepreneurs nationwide have so far benefited from special initiatives introduced by the Ministry of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives (KUSKOP), reflecting the government’s commitment to fostering growth and opportunities within the community.
Deputy Minister of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives, YB Dato’ Sri Ramanan Ramakrishnan, stated that the initiatives were supported by a total allocation of RM198.94 million, distributed through various financing schemes and dedicated programmes.

He made the remarks during the Bank Rakyat Indian Entrepreneur Financing-i (BRIEF-i) briefing session for the Federal Territory Zone, which drew the participation of over 300 entrepreneurs and aspiring Indian business owners.
“For BRIEF-i alone, as of July 31, 2025, approved financing has reached RM52.72 million, benefitting 577 Indian entrepreneurs, including 482 micro-entrepreneurs and 95 SMEs,” he said.
According to him, the briefing session was part of the Vanakam MADANI initiative, which had previously been held in Perak and Penang. He added that the implementation of these new initiatives proves that the MADANI Government is far more committed to safeguarding the welfare and interests of the Indian community compared to previous administrations.

“I urge more Indian entrepreneurs not to hesitate in taking advantage of opportunities offered by Bank Rakyat and other agencies. This is a valuable chance for you to grow and succeed,” he said.
Ramanan emphasized that driving the economic advancement of the Indian community remains his top priority, with a focus on ensuring that Indian entrepreneurs are able to grow and succeed in their businesses.
