Vinayagar Chathurthi, one of the grandest and most cherished festivals in Hinduism, will be celebrated worldwide on 27th August 2025 in honour of Lord Ganesha, the remover of obstacles and bestower of wisdom and prosperity. On this auspicious day, devotees will perform special prayers at home, while temples dedicated to Ganesha will hold elaborate ceremonies to mark the occasion. In Malaysia, the Court Hill Sri Ganesar Temple, also known as the Kortumalai Pillaiyar Temple, stands out as one of the most renowned Ganesha temples where the festival is observed with great devotion and splendour.
The temple is all set to commemorate Vinayagar Chathurthi 2025 on a grand scale. The Annual Vinayagar Chathurthi Festival will be celebrated over two days: today, 26th August 2025, with the majestic Golden Chariot Procession, followed by the main Vinayagar Chathurthi Celebration on Wednesday, 27th August 2025.

The temple is currently undergoing renovation in preparation for the upcoming Kumbabishegam at the end of this year. As a result, the temple surroundings may be congested, and devotees might experience some inconvenience or discomfort. The temple management expresses its sincere apologies and regret for this, said Temple Chairman, Tan Sri Datuk Dr. R. Nadarajah. He warmly invites everyone to participate in this auspicious festival and receive the divine blessings of Lord Ganesha.
As devotees gather in prayer and celebration, the Court Hill Sri Ganesar Temple continues its long-standing tradition of honouring Lord Ganesha with grandeur and devotion. Despite the ongoing renovations, the spirit of Vinayagar Chathurthi remains undiminished, drawing devotees from near and far to be part of this sacred occasion. With blessings of Lord Ganesha, the festival is set to be a memorable and spiritually uplifting experience for all who attend.
