Food lovers have something big to look forward to this month as Hyatt Regency Kuala Lumpur at KL Midtown officially opened its doors on 26th August 2025, ushering in a new era of dining excellence with four distinct culinary destinations: Midtown Brasserie, Midtown Lounge, China House and ENSo Izakaya and Bar.

Helmed by Executive Chef Jonas Juchli, the hotel’s acclaimed culinary team is set to redefine Kuala Lumpur’s gastronomic scene with innovative menus, sustainable practices, and an all-star line-up of culinary masters.

Four Destinations, Four Distinct Experiences

  • Midtown Brasserie reimagines the buffet experience with its Best of Asia concept. Expect dishes prepared à la minute, like fresh mud crab cooked to order and hand-pulled noodles at the live la mien station, ensuring peak freshness while minimizing waste.
  • Midtown Lounge, offers elegant afternoon teas and intimate bites in a chic, relaxing setting, perfect for both business meet-ups and leisurely gatherings.
  • China House, under the guidance of Master Chef Alan Shao, brings the flavours of Northern China to life. Its signature wood-fired Peking Duck, prepared in the traditional Beijing Style, promises to be highlighted of the menu.
  • ENSo Izakaya and Bar, opening October 2025, will deliver a lively Japanese izakaya experience led by Master Chef Masami Okamoto, pairing authentic dishes with a dynamic nightlife atmosphere, complete with a live DJ and an extensive sake and cocktail programme curated by in-houses mixologist Ivon Soon, the reigning champion of the Monkey Shoulder Ultimate Bartender Championship.

A Star-Studded Culinary Team

Supporting Chef Jonas are executive Sous Chefs David Soh and Gui Keat Lee, along with Chef de Cuisine Jordan Mah at Midtown Brasserie and Executive Pastry Chef Jason de Oca, whose creations will crown every dining experience with artisanal flair.

Sustainable Dining, Elevate Experiences

Hyatt Regency Kuala Lumpur at KL Midtown is committed to responsible sourcing and minimal waste. By preparing smaller batches and cooking dishes to oder, the hotel reduces its environmental footprint while delivering superior taste and freshness.

Beyond the Plate

Guests can expect Instagram-worthy interiors across all venues, from the refined elegance of China-House to the vibrant energy of ENSo. Leading the overall experience is Director of Food and Beverage Operations Sujin Kim, who brings years of Hyatt expertise from Hong Kong and Dubai.

Hospitality leaders Emma Johari (Midtown Brasserie and Lounge), Sharon Wong (ENSo) and Leslie Lim (China House) will ensure every visit is memorable, blending warm service with world-class dining.
