AirAsia has made a significant move in its regional expansion by launching a new operational hub in Cebu, Philippines. This development reinforces the airline’s commitment to enhancing connectivity and growth across the ASEAN region.

Cebu joins Manila as a critical hub for AirAsia Philippines (flight code Z2) by providing expanded access to both domestic and international routes. The new hub is strategically located to offer a seamless travel experience for Malaysian travelers looking to visit the Visayas and Mindanao regions, including Bohol, Cagayan de Oro, and Davao.

Routes Launch and Schedule
The new routes will be launched on 15 November 2025, featuring the following flights:

  • Cebu-Kuala Lumpur-Cebu (14 times weekly)
  • Cebu-Davao-Cebu (18 times weekly)
  • Cebu-Caticlan-Cebu (11 times weekly)
  • Cebu-Iloilo-Cebu (4 times weekly)
  • Cebu-Macao-Cebu (3 times weekly)

Amando Woo, Group Chief Commercial Officer of AirAsia, stated, “The reopening of the Cebu hub signals AirAsia Group’s strong commitment to the Philippines by exploring new gateways that will drive significant economic opportunities. This will enable travelers from the southern part of the country to directly access over 130 destinations across ASEAN, North Asia, and Europe via our mega hub in Kuala Lumpur. We commend our partners at Mactan Cebu International Airport (MCIA), the Philippines Government, and other stakeholders for ensuring the success of this initiative.”

AirAsia is offering a promotional all-in-one fare starting from RM288 for direct travel between Cebu and Kuala Lumpur, AirAsia’s main hub and travelers from Cebu will also benefit from affordable access to Greater China through direct flights to Macao.

From now until 21 September 2025, passengers can purchase tickets through the MOVE App starting from as low as PHP904* for one-way fares for travel between 15 November 2025 and 28 March 2026.
