Chloe Lim Sue Lyn, a poised and compassionate 25-year-old from Kuala Lumpur was officially crowned Miss Universe Malaysia 2025 at a dazzling Gala Finals, stepping into the national spotlight as Malaysia’s representative to the 74th Miss Universe pageant in Thailand this November.
The grand finale, which brought 16 remarkable finalist, was a culmination of months of rigorous training, mentorship, and self-discovery under this year’s empowering theme, ‘Redefining Your Journey’. With grace, intellect and authenticity, Chloe rose to the top.
A Night of Glamour and Grit
The Gala Finals was more than just a pageant, it was a celebration of Malaysian beauty, culture, and resilience. Guest of honour included Datin Seri Livonia Ricky Guing, Chairperson of MUMO, Charissa Chong, National Director of MUMO, and Sandra Lim, Miss Universe Malaysia 2024.
Hosted by well-loved TV personalities Hansen Lee, and Nadia Heng, the event dazzled with performances from homegrown talents Belle Sisoski, Priscilla Abby and Joe Flizzow. Finalist stunned in their national costumes, beachwear, and evening gowns, while the Top 8 finalist braved the live Q&A session, an intense test of wit, clarity and composure.
As the evening narrowed to the Top 5, and later the final three, anticipation peaked. Finally, under the radiant lights, Chloe Lim was crowned Miss Universe Malaysia 2025, a moment that cemented her journey from dreamer to queen.
A Queen with a Cause
Chloe’s triumph is not only a personal milestone but also a reflection of her lifelong commitment to service and empathy. Educated across New York, Portugal, Estonia, and the UK with two master’s degrees under her belt, she has dedicated herself to advocating for equal access to education and safe spaces for women and children.
From teaching orphans in Vietnam to working with young girls in Portugal, Chloe has consistently turned compassion into action. Her passions for animal welfare, tennis, and travel adds further depth to her identity as a global citizen with a grounded heart.
“This has been one of the most transformative journeys of my life. I am truly humbled and honoured to be given the opportunity to represent Malaysia on the global stage. With this title, I hope to inspire Malaysians to embrace their authenticity, pursue their dreams courageously, and I will give my very best to make Malaysia proud,” Chloe said in her first speech as the new queen.
The Crown, the Glory, and the Rewards
Chloe was crowned with the breathtaking ‘Eternal Blossom’ crown by A Vintage Collezione, crafted in 18K white gold, and adorned with 16.39 carats of natural diamonds, valued at over RM200,000.
She also received RM50,000 in cash prizes alongside luxury rewards including exclusive treatments, couture gowns, and lifestyle memberships from the event’s prestigious sponsors. First runner-up Priyaa Simmi and second runner-up Jen Li also walked away with cash prizes and sponsored gifts.
A Journey of Inspiration
For MUMO, this year’s theme, ‘Redefining Your Journey’, underscored the transformative nature of the competition. National Director Charissa Chong expressed her pride, saying.
“This year’s theme, Redefining Your Journey, is about empowering Malaysian women to embrace their voice and identity. Each of our finalists brought unique stories and strength to the stage. We are immensely proud of our new queen and look forward to supporting her journey as she represents Malaysia at Miss Universe 2025 in Thailand.”
