The MADANI Government has pledged that the finance Ministry’s RM30 million special allocation for Tamil National-Type Schools (SJKT) will be fully utilized for it’s intended purpose, with no room for leakages or misuse.

Deputy Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives Minister YB Dato’ Sri Ramanan said the assurance was conveyed during an engagement session with the schools board of governors (LPS) and headmasters, which he co-chaired with Deputy Education Minister Wong Kah Woh recently.

“We also want to ensure that every sen of the RM30 million allocation announced by the Prime Minister is utilised for its intended purpose without any leakages, abuse of power or unnecessary bureaucratic delays,” he said in a Facebook post.

The session followed two earlier meetings on 29th August and 4th September, which decided that the LPS and headmasters should be brought into the discussion table to openly address proposals, school development priorities and specific needs.

This round of engagement involved four schools, SJKT Klebang in Perak, SJKT Ladang North Hummock in Selangor, SJKT Ladang Kulai Besar in Johor, and SJKT Ladang Rini in Johor. YB Ramanan said the dialogue was vital to ensure each school received the necessary facilities, including additional classrooms, laboratories, libraries, safety upgrades and basic maintenance.

He also expressed appreciation to Education Minister Fadhlina Sidek for her close cooperation and commitment to accelerating processes within the ministry, adding that representatives from Yayasan Didik Negara, and State Education Departments were also present to ensure smooth implementation in line with technical standards.

“The MADANI Government will continue to ensure that every promise is fulfilled, every allocation is fully utilised, and every school is developed for the benefit of our children”.
