Several major roads across Selangor will be temporarily closed starting Thursday, 2 October 2025, to make way for Stages 5, 6, 7, and 8 of the world-renowned Le Tour de Langkawi (LTdL) 2025.

The affected districts include Hulu Selangor, Ampang Jaya, Kajang, Shah Alam, North Klang, South Klang, Kuala Langat, and Sepang, covering a total race distance of 162 kilometres. According to Selangor police chief Datuk Shazeli Kahar, traffic diversions will be carried out according to the race schedule and route at each stage.

Stage 5 – Thursday, 2 October

Closures will take place in Hulu Selangor, particularly along Jalan Gap towards Bukit Fraser and Fraser’s Hill.

Stage 6 – Friday, 3 October

Cyclists will flag off at 9am from Dataran Kemerdekaan Shah Alam, moving through Persiaran Sultan, Sri Andalas, Sijangkang, Telok Panglima Garang, Jenjarom, Sungai Manggis, and Telok Datok.

Stage 7 – Saturday, 4 October

The route continues from Banting to Kanchong Darat, Morib, Kampung Batu Laut, Tanjung Sepat, Sungai Pelek, and Pekan Sepang, before ending at Port Dickson.

Stage 8 – Sunday, 5 October

The final Selangor stretch begins in Beranang, covering Semenyih, Jalan Sungai Lalang, Sungai Tekala, Jalan Hulu Langat, and Jalan Ampang, before concluding in front of KLCC. Road closures are expected to start at 2.55pm, affecting the Kajang and Ampang Jaya areas.

To ensure smooth traffic flow, 392 police officers and 235 Team Sahabat members will be deployed along the routes. Datuk Shazeli urged motorists to avoid the affected areas and plan alternative routes to reduce inconvenience.

This year’s Le Tour de Langkawi spans 1,243.5 kilometres across all 12 states in Peninsular Malaysia. The eight-stage race began in Langkawi Island and will conclude on 5 October 2025 at the iconic KLCC, Kuala Lumpur.
