Keretapi Tanah Melayu (KTMB) will be introducing two new Electric Train Service (ETS) routes between Kluang and KL Sentral beginning October 10, 2025, offering passengers more travel flexibility during weekends.

Service Days & Schedule

The additional services will operate every Friday, Saturday and Sunday:

  • Outbound (Kluang → KL Sentral): Departs Kluang at 9:33 am, arriving at KL Sentral at 1:00 pm.

  • Return (KL Sentral → Kluang): Departs KL Sentral at 5:35 pm, arriving in Kluang at 9:08 pm.

Capacity & Facilities
  • Each ETS train will accommodate 315 passengers, including a Business Class coach for those seeking extra comfort.
  • Tickets can be purchased through the KTMB Mobile (KITS) app, self-service kiosks, or KTMB’s official website. Sales will open daily at 10 am.

KTMB stated that the additional weekend services are designed to complement the existing daily ETS schedule and provide greater convenience for Kluang residents, especially those travelling to Kuala Lumpur for work, meetings, or family visits.

The operator also assured that demand will be closely monitored, with the possibility of extra services being added during festive seasons, school holidays, or long weekends to cater to higher passenger traffic.

This move comes after KTMB’s daily ETS service between KL Sentral and Kluang, launched in August 2025, received overwhelming response. To date, the route has been used by over 10,000 passengers weekly, reflecting the growing popularity of rail travel as a convenient alternative to road transport.
