On October 5, Minister of Housing and Local Government of Malaysia, Nga Kor Ming announced an allocation of RM 1.23 million for 12 Tamil schools in Teluk Intan. In addition, RM 256,000 has been set aside as educational aid for Tamil school students in the area.
He said the funding reflects the government’s commitment to supporting mother-tongue education and nurturing the academic growth of Tamil school students.

The RM 1.23 million allocation will be used to cover administrative expenses of the 12 Tamil schools, including Dato’ C. Thambiran Tamil School, Ulu Bernam Estate Tamil School, Nova Scotia Tamil School, Nadesath Tamil School, and Thiruvalluvar Tamil School, among others.
Meanwhile, the RM 256,000 student aid will benefit 258 students, each receiving RM 1,000. Nga Kor Ming also expressed his hope that Tamil school students in Teluk Intan will continue to benefit from special assistance programmes under the Madani Government, ensuring no one is left behind.
