Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has announced that under the 2026 Budget development plan, Jeram Estate Tamil School will finally receive a new building.
The announcement marks a major milestone for the school, which has been operating in rented premises for the past 25 years. A total of RM1.8 million has been allocated for the construction of a new school building that will accommodate 18 classrooms, according to the Pahang Tamil School Headmasters’ Council chairman.

School management board chairman Datuk K. Nadeson said students and teachers can now look forward to a more conducive and permanent learning environment.
“I hope this resolves the long-standing issues surrounding the school’s condition, which has often made headlines for the wrong reasons. With the 2026 Budget allocation, we’re optimistic that once the funds are approved, the project will proceed smoothly without further delays,” he said.

Nadeson also expressed his appreciation to Deputy Education Minister Wong Kah Woh and Digital Minister Gobind Singh Deo for their support in helping to resolve the issue.
The new building is expected to provide a safer and more comfortable learning space for both students and teachers. Currently, Jeram Estate Tamil School has 46 students and 10 teachers.
