From November 1 to December 31, motorists can benefit from a 50% discount on traffic fines, as announced by the Road Transport Department (JPJ).

JPJ Director-General Datuk Aedy Fadli Ramli said the offer applies to all compoundable summonses, excluding those that must be brought to court.

“The discount does not cover AwAS (Automated Awareness Safety System) summonses, Investigation Notices (114), and Stamped Summons/JPJ(P)23 Notices (115),” he clarified, adding that no discounts will be offered after January 1, 2026, for either JPJ or police summonses.

Motorists can settle their fines at JPJ counters nationwide or through online and digital payment platforms.

Meanwhile, Transport Minister Anthony Loke announced a new tiered payment system for traffic summonses to promote timely payments. Under the new structure, motorists who pay within 15 days will receive a 50% discount, those who pay between 16 and 30 days will get 33%, while payments after 30 days will not be eligible for any reduction.

Loke said the system rewards early settlement and replaces periodic discount campaigns to ensure fairness and consistency for all motorists.
