A total of 60 students from Cheras Tamil School were presented with safety helmets during a special event aimed at promoting road safety. The Deputy Minister of National Unity in Education, Saraswathy Kandasami, personally presented helmets to the students.

She emphasized that this program is to raise awareness about the importance of wearing helmets, particularly for children, to enhance their safety while traveling on the roads.
Saraswathy explained that the distribution of helmets is a key component of a broader safety campaign targeting students who frequently ride motorcycles with their parents.

She highlighted that the students who received the helmets would not only adhere to traffic regulations but also act as positive influencers by reminding their parents about the vital necessity of wearing helmets during rides.
“I would like to express my sincere appreciation and gratitude to the headmaster and all the school teachers for their unwavering support and cooperation in making this program successful,” stated Saraswathy, acknowledging the vital role the school community plays in promoting safety initiatives.
