Deputy Minister of Finance, Lim Hui Ying has contributed RM100,000 to the Sri Ganeshwar Temple in Jalan Kebun Bunga, Penang in support of restoration and Kumbabishegam works.
The contribution underscores the Madani Government’s commitment to inclusivity and unity, ensuring that houses of worship across all faiths continue to receive support to preserve their cultural and spiritual heritage.
Speaking at the ceremony held at the Thanneermalai Shree Balathandayuthapani Devasthanam (Hilltop Temple), Lim reaffirmed the government’s dedication to fostering a society where faith, culture, and community flourish in harmony.

The ceremony was attended by several prominent leaders, including Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Utama Lim Kit Siang, YB Lim Guan Eng, YB Ramkarpal Singh, YB RSN Rayer, YB Senator Dr. Lingeshwaran R. Arunasalam (Jelutong), YB Kumaran Krishnan, and other Penang state representatives.
The Kumbabishegam ceremony of Arulmigu Shree Ganeshar Temple is scheduled to take place on 23 November 2025, marking a significant spiritual milestone for the Hindu community in Penang.
