Dhanush has proven himself as a producer with eyes for good content.
The actor, who has backed some successful projects in Kollywood, seems to have chosen his next venture. Buzz is, he is keen to remake Ayushmann Khurrana’s recent Bollywood release, Article 15.
Director Anubhav Sinha’s Article 15, which stars Ayushamann Khurrana in the lead, is an investigative thriller and touches upon the issue of casteism. The film not only garnered positive reviews, but also registered good collections at the box office.
Many filmmakers from south have expressed their interest in remaking the film, and Dhanush, who is known for backing movies with good content, has also shown keen interest.
Though nothing is confirmed and talks are at a nascent stage, and there still is no clarity on the role he’ll play – only as a producer or also as an actor – looks like this is a deal that will materialise.
The film, which also stars Isha Talwar and Nasser, hit screens in June.
