National Kabaddi Team Seeks Public Support to Fund for SEA Games Preparation

The Malaysian Kabaddi team is appealing for public assistance to help ease the financial burden of their final preparations ahead of the 2025 SEA Games. In an official statement team revealed that they are still short of RM150,000 needed to settle outstanding operational costs.

According to the team, they have already spent RM700,000 on essential needs including training, accommocation, meals and logistics for the atheletes. However , additional funds are urgently required to clear pending payments such as coach and player salaries as well as overdue meal expenses.

The association emphasized that the welfare of athelets and officials remains a top priority as they continue their journey towards representing Malaysia on the regional stage. They remain confident that the national Kabaddi squad has the potential to bring home medals and elevate Malaysia’s standing in the international arena.

Any contributions from individuals, organisations or sponsors will go a long way in securing the team’s smooth participation at the upcoming SEA Games.
