InterContinental Kuala Lumpur is ringing in the holidays with Season of Golden Tidings, a month-long celebration dedicated to elegant feasts, elevated stays and meaningful festive gatherings. Throughout December, the hotel will transform into sophisticated sanctuary of warm lights, golden decor and gourmet indulgence, setting the stage for unforgettable year-end experiences.
General Manager Matthew Everson said the hotel’s vision this year was to curate celebrations that feel ‘both indulgent and meaningful’, blending premium dining, immersive moments and a new collaboration with luxury skincare maison Helena Rubinstein. “We look forward to welcoming guests to a truly memorable Season of Golden Tidings”, he added.
Festive Dining Across Three Signature Venues
The celebrations begin in Serena Brasserie, where a series of festive buffets will feature slow-roasted prime rib, seafood on ice, Yorkshire pudding and handcrafted desserts. The Sparkling Season Dinner Buffet runs from 1st-23rd December and 26th to 30th December, while the exclusive Golden Feast Dinner Buffet takes over on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
At Tatsu Japanese Cuisine, Executive Japanese Chef Hiroshi Masuda present an exquisite six-course Christmas Eve dinner featuring ingredients flown in from Tokyo’s Toyosu Market. Highlights include a Christmas wreath appetiser, Japanese tomato soup, sashimi, and a whimsical Snowman Rice Porridge.
Over at OneSixFive Lounge, the Hidden Gems Afternoon Tea, Holiday Edition offers a refined twist on festive tea with pistachio tarts, chestnut mousse, scones, and seasonal savouries. Guests may also bring home exquisite Yule log cakes or artisanal chocolates crafted for gifting.
For celebratory evening, Bentley’s Pub introduces the season’s signature cocktails, Holiday Manhattan, Golden Ginny, and the refreshing Gold Beard mocktail.
A Touch of Beauty With Helena Rubinstein
In a first-of-it’s-kind partnership, InterContinental Kuala Lumpur is collaborating with Helena Rubinstein to offer exclusive pampering for hotel diners, and suite guests. December diners who spend RM500 nett may redeem curated skincare gifts and a Discovery Facial Invitation, adding a touch of wellness to the holiday season.
Suite guests and Premium Lounge Access Room guests will also enjoy Helena Rubinstein’s Replasty Age Recovery amenities placed thoughtfully during check-in and turndown, bringing rejuvenation to the forefront of festive stays.
Festive Stays, Countdowns, and New Year Celebrations
From 1st to 31st December, the hotel’s Stay and Dine in festive edition elevates year-end-getaways with curated dinners, breakfast for two, shuttle access to KLCC and Pavilion, and complimentary dining for children below five.
The celebrations culminate on New Year’s Eve, with a lavish dinner buffet at Serena Brasserie followed by a countdown party featuring live performances, a DJ set, lucky draws and a midnight balloon drop. Meanwhile, Tatsu’s New Year’s Even six-course dinner offers a refined alternative for guests seeking a quieter, culinary-led celebration.
