Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad (KTMB) has announced that a new timetable for Klang Valley Komuter services will be implemented starting January 2026, involving routes from Tanjung Malim–Pelabuhan Klang and Pulau Sebang–Batu Caves.

According to KTMB, the revised schedule is aligned with the ongoing Klang Valley Double Tracking Project Phase II (KVDT2), which aims to improve rail infrastructure and service efficiency across the Klang Valley. KTMB said the new timetable is expected to enhance passenger convenience, optimise train movements along affected routes, and ensure smoother overall journeys.

As part of the changes, shuttle bus services between Subang Jaya and Pelabuhan Klang will be discontinued once the new timetable comes into effect in January 2026. Passengers are advised to plan their journeys accordingly. Under the new schedule, train services on the Pelabuhan Klang–Kuala Lumpur and Tanjung Malim–Kuala Lumpur routes will operate at 30-minute intervals, based on passenger demand.

In addition, KTMB will introduce new morning services, including two trains from Tanjung Malim to Pelabuhan Klang and one service to Shah Alam, to better cater to commuters travelling along these routes and intermediate stations.

The timetable changes will also affect the Pulau Sebang–Batu Caves route, with adjustments aimed at improving coordination between services and minimising passenger waiting times. KTMB assured that a 30-minute frequency during peak hours will continue to be maintained on this route to ensure smooth travel.

KTMB added that works under the KVDT2 project are ongoing, with full completion expected by 2029, and reaffirmed its commitment to improving rail services in the Klang Valley.
