Prasarana Malaysia Bhd has announced significant price revisions for several Rapid KL travel passes, marking the first adjustments in more than a decade as the operator aims to ensure long-term service sustainability in light of rising operational and maintenance costs.

According to Prasarana, the changes will take effect on January 1, 2026 affecting multiple travel pass categories. However, the company has specifically stated that the My50 pass, which offers unlimited travel on its services for a fixed monthly fee, will remain unchanged, ensuring that frequent commuters can continue to benefit from this affordable option.

Details of the Revised Pass Prices:
  • A new 30-day unlimited travel pass called Rapid Bulanan will be introduced, priced at RM150 and available for both Malaysians and Non-Malaysians.
  • Rapid Kota Passes (daily/short-term city passes) will be RM10 for 1-day pass and RM25 for 3 days.
  • Rapid Kembara passes will be RM25 for a 1-day pass and RM55 for 3 days
  • Rapid Keluarga passes which is designed for families will be set at RM30

The My50 monthly pass along with concession passes such as, Rapid Emas (senior citizen) and Rapid Mesra (person with disabilities) will maintain their current pricing, ensuring affordability for frequent and eligible commuters.

Prasarana said commuters can continue to purchase or renew passes at stations or via digital channels with previous digital enhancements (app-based renewals for My50) expected to ease the transition.
