Shoorendran Nageswaran, a Malaysian equestrian, played a key role in the national showjumping team, which won a silver medal at the 33rd SEA Games, marking a significant achievement for Malaysia in equestrian sport.
Alongside his teammates Arysha Haya Kanda, Norinne Ira Dewal Mohd Ali, and Adam Hariz Kamaludin, Shoorendran delivered a strong performance at the Thai Polo & Equestrian Club, where the competition was fierce and the margins were tight. The team finished just three seconds behind the gold medal winners, Indonesia, highlighting the competitive edge of the Malaysian team in the final standings.

This achievement adds to Malaysia’s growing success in showjumping and showcases the depth of talent within the country’s equestrian ranks. The silver medal not only represents personal success for the riders but also serves as a testament to their dedication and teamwork.
As Malaysian athletes demonstrate their sportsmanship in the SEA Games 2025, taking place in Thailand, it is indeed a proud moment to witness Malaysian Indian athletes shining on the global stage, bringing pride not only to themselves but also to their country.
