Thalapathy Vijay has lauded Malaysia’s multicultural society and the Malaysian Indian community for their role in sustaining the Tamil language and cinema during the successful audio launch of Jana Nayagan, held at Stadium Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur on 27 December 2025.
Addressing a massive crowd at the event, which reportedly entered the Malaysia Book of Records for the highest number of attendees at an audio launch, Vijay emphasized that the presence of a large and vibrant Tamil community in Malaysia has helped preserve Tamil culture and cinema across generations.
Vijay noted that after Sri Lanka, Malaysia is home to one of the largest Tamil communities outside India. He added that merely mentioning a Tamil film often evokes Malaysia in people’s minds, reflecting the nation’s vital role in Tamil cinema’s international landscape.

Reflecting on his illustrious 33-year career in cinema, Vijay expressed heartfelt gratitude to his fans, acknowledging their unwavering support through challenges and criticism, which helped shape his journey. He also confirmed that Jana Nayagan will be his final film as an actor before fully transitioning into politics.
The audio launch and accompanying Thalapathy Thiruvizha concert on 27 December 2025 were organized by Malik Streams Corporation in collaboration with KVN Productions at Stadium Bukit Jalil, marking a memorable farewell for the actor.
