After years of uncertainty, director Gautham Vasudev Menon has renewed hope for fans awaiting the delayed action thriller Dhruva Natchathiram. In a recent interview, Gautham revealed that most of the issues that have held up the film’s release have nearly been resolved and hinted that a major announcement could come soon.
The highly anticipated film, starring Vikram in the lead role, began production way back in 2017 but has encountered numerous challenges along the way. The movie faced a series of financial and legal issues, compounded by disruptions from the Covid-19 pandemic, which delayed its release.

When the team announced a theatrical release for November 2023, the decision was soon retracted due to unresolved financial complications, leaving fans disappointed despite the team’s public assurances that they were making every effort to resolve the issues.
Gautham also recently shared information about his other delayed project, Joshua: Imai Pol Kaakha, which is set in the same universe as Dhruva Natchathiram. This film was released in March 2024 and provided audiences with a sneak peek of what they can expect from Dhruva Natchathiram.
With Menon’s latest comments suggesting that most hurdles are nearly cleared, fans are eagerly anticipating the official release announcement, hopeful that this long-awaited spy thriller will finally reach the big screen soon.
