Topping the list is ‘King’, directed by Siddharth Anand and starring Shah Rukh Khan alongside Deepika Padukone. With it’s intense first-look visuals and action-heavy promise, the film has emerged as IMDb users most awaited release of 2026, positioning itself as a major cinematic event.

Mythology and Mass Appeal Dominate the Top Tier

Close behind at No.2 is Ramayana Part 1, directed by Nitesh Tiwari and featuring Ranbir Kapoor, Yash, Sai Pallavi and Sunny Deol. The mythological epic is already being viewed as a landmark project for it’s scale and pan-Indian casting.

The Top 5 continues with Jana Nayagan (No.3), starring Vijay in a political role, Spirit (No.4), directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga and led by Prabhas, and Toxic (No.5), with Yash headlining a stylized action drama.
