Astro, Malaysia’s leading content and entertainment company, continues it’s commitment to meaningful local storytelling with the launch of Manam, a new Vinmeen Exclusive family drama that takes a deep, unflinching look at modern marriages, and marital fidelity. Premiering on 2nd February at 9.30PM on Astro Vinmeen (Channel 202), the series will also be available across Astro GO, On Demand, and sooka, ensuring viewers can tune in anytime, anywhere.

Coinciding with the premiere of Manam, Astro Vinmeen is extending it’s exclusive series slot from 30 minutes to a full-one hour block, offering audiences two back-to-back local favourites every night. Viewers can now catch Pasanga Season 3 at 9PM, followed by Manam at 9.30PM,  a move that not only enhances the viewing experience but also creates greater space for Malaysian storytellers and production teams to showcase impactful, high-quality narratives.

Directed by SD Puvanendran and produced by Seelan Manoheran, Manam brings together a compelling mix of local and international talent. The star-studded cast includes, Jayshree, Surrya Prakash, Subashini, Seelan Manoheran, Mathialagan, Ashwini Nambiar, and more, each adding depth and emotional weight to the series.

An adaption of Astro’s acclaimed Malay drama Layang-Layang Perkahwinan, Manam marks Astro’s second consecutive Malay to Tamil adaptation, reaffirming it’s effort to bring culturally resonant stories to diverse audiences. At the heart of the series is Sheena, a devoted wife who stands firmly by her husband Varun as he rises to a powerful leadership position within his company. Balancing her responsibilities as a wife, mother, daughter-in-law, and working professional, Sheena holds her family together with quiet strength and resilience.

However, her seemingly stable world begins to unravel when Varun’s behaviour changes. Late nights, constant excuses, and emotional distance awaken Sheena’s instincts, leading her to a painful discovery that shatters her trust. Confronted with her husband’s infidelity and facing pressure from her influential in-laws, Sheena is forced to make a life-altering choices, whether to remain silent or fight for her dignity and freedom. As the story unfolds, Manam questions whether justice will prevail and whether Sheena can finally break free from a cycle of betrayal.

New episodes of Manam air every Monday to Thursday at 9.30PM on Astro Vinmeen (CH 202) via TV, Astro GO, On Demand, and sooka.

In conjunction with it’s content offerings, Astro is also inviting viewers to enjoy greater value with it’s Astro One Packs, now available from RM49.99, offering easy streaming and endless entertainment. Those interested can visit astro.com.my or contact Astro via Whatsapp at 03-9543 3838 for more information.

With Manam, Astro once again delivers a drama that goes beyond entertainment, opening conversations about marriage, self-worth, and the courage it takes to reclaim one’s voice.
