Malaysians can now check and claim their unclaimed money directly through the new MyGOV Malaysia mobile application, providing a simpler digital way to find their funds.
Launched as a one-stop government service platform, the MyGOV app consolidates numerous public services in a single application. Among its growing list of features, the app gives users access to check whether they have unclaimed money funds that may have been left in old bank accounts, investment dividends, insurance payouts, unpaid wages, or other financial entitlements not claimed within a specific period.

Unclaimed money in Malaysia is managed by the Jabatan Akauntan Negara Malaysia (JANM) through the eGUMIS system, where eligible individuals and companies can view and apply for their unclaimed funds. National figures suggest billions of ringgit remain unclaimed, underscoring the importance of this feature for many Malaysians.
Beyond checking unclaimed money, the MyGOV app also offers other functions such as checking traffic summonses, reviewing eligibility for government financial aid, and accessing a range of public services. So far, the platform provides about 38 services involving 13 government agencies, continuing the government’s effort to streamline digital access to public services
Officials say the app aims to make digital government services more user-friendly, while reducing the need for Malaysians to visit multiple separate portals or government offices for routine tasks.
