The Ministry of Higher Education has announced an extension for the online application date for UPU for students who have recently completed their SPM (Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia). The new deadline is now set for 12 April 2026. This extension follows the Education Ministry’s announcement that the results for SPM will be released on 31 March 2026.
Initially, the application deadline was scheduled for 23 March 2026, which also applied to STPM (Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia) students. However, acknowledging the timing of SPM result announcements, the Ministry of Higher Education made the decision to allow additional time for SPM students to apply.
Students who have completed their high school education are encouraged to apply online through UPU for admission to government universities, polytechnics, or community colleges. The ministry is urging all eligible students to take advantage of this opportunity.
Students can obtain their necessary PIN number from Bank Simpanan Nasional by paying a service charge of RM10.60. This PIN is essential for submitting applications to their preferred higher education institutions.
